By using The Wedding Wardrobe Limited services you agree to be bound by this agreement.

If you do not agree to all of these terms & conditions, you may not use The Wedding Wardrobe Limited services.

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Wedding Wardrobe Limited ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our website or renting any of our garments, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Rental Agreement

  • a. Rental Period: The rental period for a dress begins on the date specified in your order confirmation and ends on the return date specified on your order confirmation. Extensions may be available upon request and subject to availability.
  • b. Rental Fees: Rental fees are specified at the time of booking and must be paid in full at the time of booking a rental. Additional charges may apply for late returns, damages, or additional services.
  • c. Reservation and Confirmation: Your reservation is confirmed upon payment. We will send you a confirmation email with details of your rental and return instructions.
  • d. Delivery Delays: Should your rental not arrive in time for your event due to circumstances outside of our control, we will offer a 50% refund on the dress rental cost. Shipping costs are non-refundable. This applies only if the parcel delivery is delayed by our courier service.
  • e. Collection of dress rental: If the dress rental is not picked up on the specified rental date, The Wedding Wardrobe Limited will contact you. If the dress is not picked up within 24 hours, the order is considered cancelled, and no refund applies.
  • f. Swapping Rentals: If you wish to swap your rental dress, please contact thewedwardrobe@outlook.com. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis upon availability.

3. Use of Rental Items

  • a. Intention: You agree to use the rented dress solely for its intended purpose (event wear).
  • b. Alterations: You may not alter, modify, or customize the rented dress. Any alterations will be considered damages and may incur additional charges.

4. Return Policy

  • a. Return Procedure: Dresses must be returned by the specified return date using the provided return packaging and shipping label. This return package must be handed over the counter at your local post shop and not placed into a standard post box.
  • b. Late Returns: Late returns will incur a fee of $25 per day. Late returns during public holiday weeks/weekends will incur a $30 per day fee.
  • c. Condition of Returned Items: The dress must be returned in the same condition as received. Serious damage, stains, or excessive cleaning will result in additional charges.
  • d. Lost Rentals: If a returned rental is lost, The Wedding Wardrobe Limited will open an investigation with the courier company. You are not liable for costs if the loss is due to the courier service.
  • e. Courier Bag Loss: If you lose the provided return courier bag, you are responsible for returning the dress via courier. The additional shipping cost is your responsibility.

5. Damages and Loss

  • a. Responsibility: You are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the rented garment. If you do not take out a damage waiver, you may incur charges for repairs or replacement.
  • b. Reporting Issues: Report any issues with the garment within 24 hours of receiving it. Failure to do so may result in you being held liable for existing damages.
  • c. Cleaning: Standard dry-cleaning costs are included in your rental cost. Do not attempt to clean the garment yourself as it may cause further damage.
  • d. Damages: If permanent damage occurs to the garment, you are liable to pay for repairs or the full retail value of the garment.
  • e. Makeup & Tanning: Arrive without full makeup or a fresh tan to avoid damage to the dresses.
  • f. Damage Waiver: We offer a damage waiver covering minor repairs like small stains or broken straps. It does not cover theft, loss, or extensive damage.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • a. Cancellation: You may cancel up to 7 days before the rental date for a full refund, minus a $5 admin fee. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
  • b. Rescheduling: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
  • c. No Refund for Fit Issues: If the garment doesn't fit or suit you and you didn't try it on beforehand, no refund will be given.
  • d. Refunds: Refunds will incur a $5 admin fee for processing.

7. Liability

  • a. Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the rental.
  • b. Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the rented dress.
  • c. Legal Actions: Unpaid fees will be sent to the NZ Disputes Tribunal, with a $59 charge.
  • d. Refused Cooperation: We may refer uncooperative customers to Baycorp Limited Debt Collection agency.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to Shopify’s Privacy Policy for details.

9. Imaging

  • a. Social Media Photos: By tagging us in photos, you grant us a royalty-free license to use these photos in our marketing materials.
  • b. Copyright: All images owned by The Wedding Wardrobe Limited are protected by copyright. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

10. Changes to Terms

The Wedding Wardrobe Limited reserves the right to alter these terms at any time. You are responsible for ensuring you are aware of the current version prior to renting.
